Terese Foged has more than 20 years’ experience in media and copyright law as well as intellectual property law in general, with a particular focus on copyright in the online world with the additional aspects provided by new technology, market situation and consumer behaviour.
Terese advises a large number of Danish and international TV stations and media companies on various uses of audiovisual materials, in relation to both the acquisition and the assignment of copyright and other intellectual property rights, as well as on the protection and ownership of copyright, etc.
Terese drafts, negotiates and advises on rights agreements concerning assignment/acquisition, exploitation, licensing, distribution, etc. She also advises on the strategic planning of the exploitation and clearing of rights, including cooperation with and remuneration of other rightsholders. The advice offered by Terese covers rights clearance models, including by way of extended collective license, as well as matters involving the calculation of the remuneration.
Terese assists in the implementation of the latest EU legislation in the field of IP law, including revision and application of national legislation in relation to international tech giants etc. In connection with international acquisitions and investment in rights, she provides advice on the exploitation potential, return and remuneration as well as the allocation between investor, collecting societies and rightsholder groups.
Terese works on all aspects of an array of copyright issues and disputes, while also advising on agreements concerning the development of industrial designs for physical mass production and royalty payments etc., under contracts on the production, sale and marketing of copies of protected works and designs.
